Students who earn a certificate in health care ethics from the National Catholic Bioethics Center (NCBC) can now transfer six credits toward a master’s degree in moral theology/ethics at The Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C.
Applicants will need to meet the usual criteria for entrance to the University’s School of Theology and Religious Studies. They can use the credits toward elective courses in the M.A. program.
NCBC’s National Catholic Certification Program in Health Care Ethics is a 30-week immersive study in Catholic bioethics, taken over a nine-month period.
“This is a great opportunity for students to add additional focus on bioethics to a world class master’s degree that gives them a foundation in Catholic moral theology as a whole,” said John Grabowski, professor of moral theology and director of the master’s program in moral theology/ethics.
Students enrolled in Catholic University’s 30-credit master’s program for moral theology/ethics receive a rigorous foundation in the Catholic moral tradition, sources, historical development, and methodology.
